First and foremost, spamming the forums is not marketing. Promoting a service like your affiliate training program in a marketing related forum can be very effective but doing it wrong will get you flamed and probably banned from the forum. That does’t help your efforts at all.

So how do you advertise in  forum in a way that is acceptable?

You can use these techniques to market your product successfully in a forum while adding quality input to the communities.

#1 Choose a Forum to get started – There are a lot of Internet Marketing forums out there, here are some of the most popular forums related to Internet Marketing:

#2 Your Forum Signature – Most forums allow you to have a signature in your profile, much like a signature on an email.  This is prime advertising space, shown at the end of every post you make. Add your affiliate link to your signature.  You’ll be surprised how many people click on your ad. Here are a few example signatures that may be effective. A simple signature can deliver a lot of very highly targeted traffic to your site. The more posts you make in a forum, the more exposure your signature will get and the more people will visit your site.

#3 Add Value To The Community – The key to being a successful Forum Marketer is to provide value and give back to the community.  The more quality posts you make, the more people will trust you.  The more people trust you, the more they want to know about you, and that will take them directly to your forum signature. Use some of what you learn at Affiliate Training Program and give back to forum communities.  

#4 Offer Something of Value – For FREE – On your Affiliate Training Program site, it should constantly offer training courses and/or free bonus reports that you can leverage to get people to sign up to your branded Affiliate Training Program mailing list.  In your forum signature, you may want to tell people about a “Free” guide that they can download if they join your email list.  Your sig will link to a simple squeeze page that you have created and will talk about the free guide. Your affiliate training program should have an auto responder to implement this technique.
